MAC AWARD WINNER CAROLYN MONTGOMERY RETURNS WITH A REVISED "REVEILLE"

After a triumphant, six-week run in the spring of 2003, Carolyn Montgomery will bring her show Reveille back to Off-Broadway's ST. CLEMENTS THEATER (423 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-246-7277 Ext. 29) for eight consecutive Sundays, opening on October 5th (show dates are October 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, November 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd - all shows at 8:00 pm). Tickets are $15. There is a $5 discount for CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE & MAC members and seniors.

Montgomery will be accompanied by her Musical Director Rick Leonard, Producer and Director of the popular "Cabaret by the Bay" series on Fire Island, which features some of New York's most esteemed Cabaret and Broadway talent. Montgomery and Leonard have chosen to add several new songs to the "Reveille" line-up for this return engagement. In addition, Montgomery will release the CD entitled "Reveille" at the November 9th performance, with a reception to follow the show in the Cabaret Space at St. Clements, just one floor below the theater.

Reveille, Montgomery spans a broad array of musical styles, including songs by Stephen Sondheim and Joni Mitchell as well as the side-splitting comedy of contemporary songwriter George Winters. Montgomery's mastery of so many styles is awe-inspiring, as she fluidly moves from a Broadway Belt to a Pop Anthem to a Jazz Standard. Montgomery is frequently cited for her keen musicianship, intelligence and integrity in musical interpretation. When you add her easy, infectious sense of humor to the mix, you get a show, Reveille, that keeps an audience spellbound.

Montgomery, who joined the New York cabaret scene just five years ago, was presented with a MAC Award for Outstanding Female Debut in 2000. During the last three years, Montgomery has performed an average of 72 shows annually, in over 10 states, including San Francisco's Plush Room, Davenports in Chicago, The Timberline in Seattle, The Crown and Anchor in Provincetown, Odette's in New Hope and other venues from Belfast, ME to Miami, FL. In Manhattan, Montgomery has performed regularly at The FireBird, Arci's Place, and the Laurie Beechman Theater.
