Nehama Patkin One Show Only at CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL

Following her sell-out seasons in September last year, Nehama Patkin returns to CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL (12 Little Chapel Street, Prahran, Melbourne, AUS - Bookings 03-8290-7011) with "It's All New ... But Nothing's Changed," bringing her varied career to life, from J.C. Williamson's, concert halls everywhere from Uluru to Iceland, with a little bit of Barry Humphries and Rudolf Nureyev thrown in along the way. This one-show-only event will be on Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 pm. Nehama will be accompanied by the inimitable, irrepressible and always outrageous, Peter Hurley. Tickets are $22/$17.

Through her stories, anecdotes and just a little bit of scandal, she'll surprise even those who thought they knew her well.

Those who do know her will know that she has won an array of Honours and Awards from the Order of Australia - OAM. in 1998 for services to the community, particularly as a piano and music teacher, and as administrator and organiser of music events for charity, to Life Member of the Suzuki Talent Education Association of Australia (Victoria).

Nehama serves on a number of committees including Suzuki Talent Education Association of Australia Piano Committee, the Victorian Music Teachers' Association, the Melbourne University Alumni Association, The Foundation for Youth Excellence, the Malcolm Sargent Cancer Fund for Children, Caulfield Rotary Club and is Chairperson of the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Association for the 2003 Conference.

Nehama has been a producer, broadcaster (first presenter of ABC Playschool), compere, solo artist, teacher, accompanist and composer. She has recently been awarded a Churchill Fellowship which will enable her to travel to the USA to work with the education officers in some of the leading US orchestras to develop programmes for young audiences.
