MARIEILEEN O'BRIEN IN "ROMANCE" AT DANNY'S

Singer MariEileen O'Brien brings her all-new show "Romance" to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/), on Wednesdays, June 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th at 7:00 pm. There will be a $15.00 music charge and a $10.00 food/drink minimum.

"Romance" takes a comparative look at love Ý from courting to dating to affairs, from flirting to flaunting, from structured to impromptu, from scented letters to e-mail, from fluttering fans to running in heels Ý how drastically social interaction has changed in just one hundred years, from the genteel end of the 19th century to the strategy and tactics at the onslaught of the 21st century.

MariEileen's most recent critical acclaim comes from her show "Evocateur." Prior to this MariEileen received a MAC Award nomination for her show "Open The Door," and has continued to receive critical acclaim for "Desire ... The Flames Within." MariEileen is currently working on a show saluting her Irish heritage, and another production as a tribute to Ann-Margret.

Ms. O'Brien's off-Broadway and regional theater credits include Aldonza in "The Man of La Mancha," Lily Garland in "On The Twentieth Century," Eva Peron in "Evita," The Witch in "Into The Woods," Kathy Selden in "Singin' In The Rain," and Kaye in "The Taffettas." MariEileen serves as a cantor at Saint Patrick's Cathedral and Our Lady of Victory Church; her spring 2003 classical concerts and recitals included Rossini's "Sabat Mater."
