"THE FIRST FAMILY OF COOL" AT FEINSTEIN'S

FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 1-212-339-4095 - http://www.feinsteinsattheregency.com/) will present the return engagement of "The First Family of Cool" with jazz guitarist/vocalist John Pizzarelli and The John Pizzarelli Trio, featuring Bucky Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey. The Trio also features Ray Kennedy on piano and Martin Pizzarelli on bass. Performances run from May 27th through June 21st. The show will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 pm with a late show on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 pm. All shows have a $60 cover and $30 minimum.

The show will feature songs from their new recordings: John and his trio celebrate 10 years together with a special 2-CD set from Telarc, "Live at Birdland." Jessica Molaskey's new CD, "A Good Day," a collection inspired by the song stylings of Peggy Lee and her own guitarist-husband Dave Barbour, was released on PS Classics on May 20th.

John Pizzarelli has cultivated a winning career from singing classic standards and late-night ballads and by playing sublime and inventive guitar. He has been playing since the age of 6, following in the tradition of his father, guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli. In 1999, the Trio was featured in the Steve Martin/Goldie Hawn comedy "The Out of Towners," performing "That Old Black Magic." A commercial for Foxwoods Casino has made Mr. Pizzarelli a recognizable face. The group tours throughout the United States, Europe and Japan performing classic pop, jazz and swing standards.

Bucky Pizzarelli has enjoyed a career that spans the years from the Vaughn Monroe Orchestra to White House concerts with Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra. Other career highlights include featured appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Boston Pops and the Town Hall.
