Robyn McCorquodale is "Up Ahead" at Danny's

Singer/ pianist/songwriter, Robyn McCorquodale returns to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) to present 3 more performances of "Up Ahead," on Tuesday, April 1st, and Mondays, May 12th and June 16th, all shows at 7:00 pm. The show, "Up Ahead," features a collection of songs comprising both classic standards and original compositions, including a few selections from her award-winning debut CD of the same name. Robyn will sing and play piano in her trio, with John Benthal on guitar and Ritt Henn on bass. There is a $12 music cover and $10 food/drink minimum.

With a combined performance background in music, live theatre and television broadcasting, Robyn has performed in major hotels and on exclusive cruise ships around the world, including engagements in and traveling to Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, and Central, North and South America. She has made several live radio and television appearances, and co-produced her own one-hour television special called "Solitude," that airs frequently in Canada, featuring her live, in concert with a 5-piece band.

Robyn's CD, "Up Ahead," which is currently receiving radio air-play in Canada and the United States, features 12 songs, 10 self-penned and 2 co-writes with Grammy-nominated Producer, Michael Creber, also formerly k.d. lang's music director for five years. Her lyrical melodies, compelling rhythms, and thoughtful lyrics, combine to convey messages of beauty, hope and inspiration. Her award-winning song, "Sad Eyes," reflects her experience living in Southeast Asia, singing for one of the richest men in the world.

Since her arrival to New York last September, Robyn has made several appearances in the city, including her debut performance of "Up Ahead" at DANNY'S earlier this year, being a featured guest on the Julie Reyburn Christmas show, as well as singing with New York's legendary clarinetist/big band leader, Sol Yaged.
