ALISON SHAW SINGS BLUES ALI

THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS ASHLEY PAUL MAKES CABARET DEBUT AT DANNY'S SKYLIGHT CABARET ROOM

Singer Alison Shaw will make her cabaret debut with her show "Blues Ali: The Artist Formerly Known As Ashley Paul" at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/), on Tuesdays, March 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th, at 9:15 pm. There will be a $15.00 music charge and a $10.00 food/drink minimum.

Ms. Shaw has been having a bit of an identity crisis! Alison Seffren started out as a normal child; that was before she was turned into the child-DIVA- sex-vixen-pop-star Ashley Paul in the late 80s (Ashley? That was all before the trials and tribulations of meeting her mate and becoming Alison Shaw.

Though leading a charmed life, Alison still believes that it's enough to give you the blues. Mind you anyone can have the blues   it's just that they come on different levels   hers just happen to come on the maintaining life on the Upper Eastside, corporate wife, ex-pop star, too much extra time on your hands, so you volunteer-and-shop-a-lot level - while trying to maintaining a career in show business!

As Ashley Paul, Alison had singles on the Billboard charts including the Top-20 Single "When Boys Cry" (Sutra/RCA Records). Other singles included "Color Me Yours," "This Kind Of Love" (Hot/RCA Records), and Hot-100 Christmas single "Dear Santa Claus" (Sand Castle Records). Alison's theater credits include leads in "Peace Child" and "Take Me Along" at the Kennedy Center, WIT, and various lead roles in regional productions of "The Sound of Music," "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown," "The Music Man" and "George M. Cohan," to mention a few. Alison's television credits include NBC's "Another World," ABC's "The Last Word" and USA Networks' "Dance Party USA." Alison has been seen giggling and screaming in TriStar films' "Firstborn," and the independent film "Dreamers."
