MARCUS SIMEONE'S "MOSTLY STANDARDS" AT DANNY'S


2003 MAC Nominee Marcus Simeone returns one more time with his BISTRO Award Winning show "Mostly Standards" to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) on Monday, May 5th at 9:15 pm. His musical director D. Jay Bradley, his director Lina Koutrakos, and the venue at which it was performed, Judy's Chelsea, were also honored by Back Stage for their continued excellence in 2003. In this celebrated show, Marcus lends his haunting, multi-octave voice to classics from the great American songbook by legendary composers such as Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Henry Mancini and Richard Rodgers. A veteran jazz-pop singer for over ten years with various bands in the Tri-state area, Brooklyn born Marcus has built a following of fans touched by his sensitive interpretations of songs from the heart. Frequently compared to the likes of Al Jarreau and Johnny Mathis, he was a finalist on "Star Search" and appeared on NBC-TV's "Showtime at The Apollo."
