JOANNE TATHAM SINGS SONGS THAT LED HER ASTRAY

Rising Los Angeles-based vocalist Joanne Tatham will make her New York cabaret debut in "Songs That Led Me Astray" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) on Thursdays & Fridays, November 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th at 9:00 pm, joined by Musical Director Ross Patterson. The show, with an eclectic mix of songs ranging from Cole Porter and Harold Arlen to Laura Nyro and Cat Stevens, is directed by Ron Cohn. There is a $12 cover charge and a 2-drink minimum. 2-for-1 discount for CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members.

Tatham made her cabaret debut last summer at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444). Subsequent West Coast appearances have included THE CINEGRILL and THE BAKED POTATO in LA, THE PLUSH ROOM in San Francisco, and in March she was a featured artist in The Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret Convention in Palm Springs

A singer/actress who has worked off-Broadway, including a season with the Light Opera of Manhattan, Tatham has played leading roles in regional theater and summer stock in the shows Kiss Me Kate, Funny Girl, Godspell, Starting Here, Starting Now. Trained at the Hartt School of Music, she has also studied at the HB Studio, and with master teachers Marni Nixon, Ron Cohn, Ellie Ellsworth and Wesla Whitfield.

She has just completed her debut recording project, "Making Light." Even before its release, the CD has spawned two songs included on the sound tracks of high-profile independent feature films, last fall's award winning "Roger Dodger" and the upcoming "29 and Holding." Tracks from the CD are also in rotation on Southern California radio stations.
