Stacy Lee Tilton in "Midway Point: Life's Carnival of Choices"

Stacy Lee Tilton, a charismatic mezzo soprano with a rich and soulful voice, combines her uncanny sense of comic timing with a conviction to plumb the emotional depths of her characters in "Midway Point" at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) for three performances on Monday, March 31st at 7:00 pm; Friday, April 4th at 9:15 pm; and Monday, April 7th at 7:00 pm. There is a $12 cover, 2-drink minimum.

"Midway Point" reveals the lives of a group of women, the carousels of their patterns, the emotional roller coasters they face and the dizzying choices available to them in the midway. Under the direction of Thomas Mills and musical direction of David Brunetti, Ms. Tilton will perform songs by John Kander & Fred Ebb, Jason Robert Brown, Tom Lehrer, Alan Menken & David Spencer, Brian Lasser, Maury Yeston, Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens, Paula Cole, Indigo Girls and various others.

Ms. Tilton made her solo debut with "Midway Point" at DON'T TELL MAMA in 1999 with encore engagements in 2000 and 2001 to critical acclaim. A native of California, she has been performing in New York City, regionally and internationally since moving to the East Coast in 1991.

Before making her solo debut, she has been featured in several other cabaret shows in New York City. She has performed at The Supper Club (Reflections' "Secret of Life"), the Green Room ("Closer Than Ever"), and DON'T TELL MAMA ("My Best To You," "B-Sides" and "Dances Without Wolves"). She made her Broadway debut opposite Brent Barrett in the role of Jane Ashton in New York City Opera's production of "Brigadoon" (directed by Christian Smith). She ended the century taking home the NJ Perry Award for outstanding leading actress in a musical for her performance as the Witch in "Into the Woods" at the Civic Theater of Hudson County.

Ms. Tilton holds a BA in acting and directing from California State University at Long Beach and trained for two years at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
