JENNIFER ACKERMAN IN NEW YORK DEBUT AT DON'T TELL MAMA

Jennifer Ackerman will perform her cabaret act "Why Aren't I Famous Yet?!" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/ ) on Thursday, October 7th at 8:30 pm; Tuesday, October 12th at 6:30 pm and Sunday, October 17th at 3:00 pm. "Why Aren't I Famous Yet?!" features music arrangements by composer David Sisco, piano accompaniment by Matt Castle and stage direction by Laura Josepher. There is a $12 cover and a 2-drink minimum. 2 for 1 discount for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

At 12 years old Jennifer knew she'd be famous one day. She's all grown up now and it still hasn't happened. What's taking so long?? This October she'll try to straighten things out in her one-woman musical journey featuring songs from pop icons James Taylor, Mama Cass and Bjork, as well as musical theater favorites by Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Stephen Schwartz and more.

"Why Aren't I Famous Yet?!" marks Jennifer's New York solo cabaret debut, but she is no stranger to the art form. Her performances in Portland, OR last summer were named in the "Top Five Picks of the Week" by the Oregonian, and her featured solo appearance in St. Croix Caribbean Theater's "Evening of Cabaret" forced a return engagement by popular demand.
