A CHRISTMAS
MEMORY is Truman Capote's celebrated holiday classic concerning a
young Capote and his eccentric, slightly-retarded cousin, Sook. Set
against the colorful backdrop of rural Monroeville, Alabama, the pair
experience a number of holiday adventures along with their rat-terrier,
Queenie, as they prepare for the season. A Christmas Memory was made
into a popular 1966 television film for ABC's Stage 67, which starred
Geraldine Page as Sook, for which the actress received her first Emmy
Award.
