Christine Holds a Grand Night for Singing

Concert
vocalist and national recording artist Maureen Christine will present
a brand new concert "Grand Night for Singing, the songs of Rodgers
Hammerstein and Hart, at the WOODSTOCK OPERA HOUSE (121 Van Buren
Street, Woodstock IL - 815-338-5300) on Sunday, October 24th at 3:00
pm. Specially arranged music will include such favorites as "Oh, What
A Beautiful Morning," "Some Enchanted Evening," "You Took Advantage
Of Me," My Romance," "All The Things You Are," a choir medley from
"The Sound Of Music," and much more. The concert will feature a talented
ensemble of musicians including woodwind virtuoso Michael Bazan and
pianist/music director Dan Smith. Tickets are $15.
Also included
on the concert will be the combined mini choir of adults and children
from St. Patrick's Church, under the direction of Cecilia Adams.
Maureen Christine
is an award-winning vocalist who delights audiences throughout the
country with her "melodious, expressive voice" (All Music Guide).
She has sung with pop star Barry Manilow, recorded with saxophonist
Pete Christlibe of the Johhny Carson Tonight Show Orchestra, and received
a 2002 Grammy pre-nomination for her CD "My Romance." Woodwindist
Michael Bazan is a talented saxophonist, flautist and clarinetest
who is a music professor at Wheaton College Conservatory of music
and has performed with jazz greats Cab Calloway and Billy Eckstein.
