De Lorenzo at Club Cafe in June
Award-winning
singer Brian De Lorenzo returns to CLUB CAFE (209 Columbus Avenue,
Boston, MA - Resv: 617-247-9192 - http://www.clubcafe.com/
) on Sunday, June 20th at 8:00 pm to celebrate same-gender marriage
in Massachusetts. He will perform traditional theatre and cabaret
songs ‚ with a twist! Jim Rice will accompany on piano. Singer Brad
Peloquin is Brian's special guest. Cash bar and food is available.
Cover is $16 ($14 for BACA Members).
Mr. De Lorenzo
is a longtime resident of Boston's South End who has performed in
venues from Alaska to Israel. He was named Talent America's "Performer
of the Year" in 2001 and was nominated this year by the Independent
Reviewers of New England (IRNE) for "Best Cabaret Show" for Mama,
A Rainbow which he performed last May at Scullers Jazz Club.
Brian and
his partner of 13 years had a church wedding on Gay Pride Day in 2001
and plan to "make it legal" on their third anniversary this June.
Brian's debut
recording "Found Treasures" was nominated for the 2000 "Recording
of the Year" Award by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs
(MAC).
