Jazz Vocalist Catherine Dupuis to Perform at Opia"

Jazz vocalist Catherine Dupuis will perform with the Russ Kassoff Trio at LIVE AT OPIA (130 East 57th Street, NYC - 212-688-3939 - http://www.opiarestaurant.com/ ) on Thursdays, July 15th and 22nd at 7:00 pm. Performing with Catherine will be Russ Kassoff on piano, Bob Bowen on bass and Rick Cutler on drums. Arrangements by Mr. Kassoff, Bill Mays and Jeffrey Klitz. Catherine's sets include standards, plus songs by David Cantor (Dave's True Story), Mr. Kassoff (Deirdre Brodrick, lyrics) and Mr. Mays (Dianne Mower and Mark Murphy, lyrics). There is a $20 cover and a $15 minimum.

Ms. Dupuis has been compared to Sheila Jordan, Diana Krall and Annie Ross and described as a sophisticated hipster, a kitten in the keys and a master of the American Songbook, handling complicated arrangements with ease and giving well-known favorites a fresh new spin.

Catherine will be guest vocalist at the Sackets Harbor Jazz Festival (Sackets Harbor, NY - near Watertown)) on August 14th with the Russ Kassoff Trio, featuring Harry Allan and Joe Cohn. Catherine is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music.
