Goldie Dver at Mama Rose's in "Woman On The Stage"

After a successful run last October at The Duplex, Goldie Dver, 2002 MAC Award winner, brings her solo show, "Woman On The Stage" to MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/ ) for three nights in May. Performances are Wednesdays, May 12th, 19th and 26th at 7:00 pm. Interpreting fresh and original songs by Brian Lasser, Tracy Stark, Francesca Blumenthal and Drey Shepperd, among others, Ms Dver explores the many challenges and contradictions that contemporary women encounter, even in our "enlightened society". Musical direction is by the multi-talented Tracy Stark, whose song, "Woman On The Stage" inspired the concept of this show. Adding to the musical texture will be bassist Skip Ward. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink minimum. ($10 cover for MAC & CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members)

Joining Goldie for some fun as her special guests will be Bistro Award winner Marcus Simeone on May 12th, and Multiple MAC Award winner Lennie Watts on May 19th & 26th.

Goldie co-produced and starred in "Crazy World -- Songs of Leslie Bricusse", which won the 2002 MAC Award for Revue of the Year. Co-star, James Beaman was instrumental in the development of this latest solo show. Along with being a veteran of the club circuit and musical theatre, Goldie is a regular personality on The Joey Reynolds' Show "Jewish Hour," heard Friday nights on WOR-AM Radio.
