GERTA GRUNEN IN A REVUE ABOUT REVUES AT DANNY'S

Actress/singer Gerta Grunen brings her new show "Let's Revue" to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (346 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/ ) on Sundays June 6th & 13th at 4:00 pm and Wednesdays June 9th & 16th at 7:00 pm. "Let's Revue" is a fast paced and witty look at songs that were written specifically for Revues from the Ziegfeld Follies of 1918, New Faces of 1952, Call Me Mister, Make It Snappy, The Shoestring Revue, Downtown Yiddishe Revue Songs and more. Gerta, along with her Musical Director, Christopher Denny and writer/director, David Arthur, shed some light and laughs on one of New York City's favorite traditions. There is a $15 cover, $10 food/drink minimum. MAC, NYSMS, TRU and members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE 1/2 cover.

Gerta's most recent critical acclaim comes from her two most recent shows, the perennial "A Jewish Girl's Christmas" and "Accentuate the Positive - Accent on the 40s." Since beginning her stage career at age four, Gerta has appeared in "The Club" directed by Tommy Tune, "Fiddler On The Roof" with Jan Peerce, "That Ilk" at the Hudson Guild Theatre and was the Red Queen in "Alice Through The Looking Glass" at the Felt Forum.

She has performed in National tours, off-Broadway, in Dinner theatre, television and on radio. Her film credits include "The Next Big Thing" starring Farley Granger and the medical thriller "Last Breath" with Beverly Hills , 90210 heart throb, Luke Perry available on video.

Gerta's one-woman shows include: "A Lighter Shade Of Weill - Kurt Weill's American Music, "Cole Porter Ninety Stories High" and "Under The Apple Tree" performed at many of New York City's most popular cabarets including: Eighty Eights, Don't Tell Mama, Rose's Turn, The Duplex, Jan Wallman's, Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium, the Donnell Library Theatre and Theatre Guinivere. Gerta was a founding member, with Rosetta LeNoire and Mara Kim, of the Amas Musical Theatre, an important part of the New York Theatre Community.
