SERIES IN THE HAMPTONS

GUILD HALL's
JOHN DREW THEATER (East Hampton, NY - 631-324-4050 - http://www.guildhall.org/
) present a series, THE AMERICAN MUSICAL THEATRE SALUTES hosted by
Musical Theatre Historian Lee Davis. The series will feature the works
of songwriters Jule Styne (June 27th), Steven Sondheim (July 18th),
Cole Porter (August 15th) and Sheldon Harnick (August 29th). All dates
are on Sunday, and all performances are scheduled for 7:30 pm. Tickets
are $50 for each performance (a reduced price of $41 is available
for purchasers of tickets for at least three evenings).
The schedules
performances are as follows:
Sunday,
June 27th - EVERYTHING"S COMING UP JULE - The Musical Magic of
Jule Styne, sung by Broadway stars Christine Andreas, Stephen Bogardus,
and Nick Dalton. Musical direction by Michael Levine.
Sunday,
July 18th - SEND IN THE SONDHEIM - Steven Sondheim on Broadway,
sung by Judy McLane, George Dvosky, and Erin McGuire. Musical direction
by Michael Lavine
Sunday,
August 15th - THE WORLD, THE WIT, AND THE WONDER OF COLE PORTER
sung by Christianne Tisdale and other Broadway stars. Musical direction
by James Followell.
Sunday,
August 29th - HIS WORDS ARE MUSIC - The Broadway lyrics of Sheldon
Harnick appearing in a discussion with Lee Davis. Featuring K.T. Sullivan
and Eric Michael Gilett. Musical Direction by Michael Lavine.
