VICKI LEVY AT TRIAD TWO NIGHTS IN MAY

Vicki Levy, whose one-woman show garnered rave reviews, presents her next cabaret musical, The Trouble with Love at THE TRIAD (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-352-3101 - http://www. Triadnyc.com/ ) on Friday, May 7th at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, May 8th at 9:30 pm. Along with award-winning music director/ composer Rob LaRocco and an all-star band with Joe Qulgley on bass, Greg Landes on drums, and Mike Wengler on guitar, Ms. Levy's captivating performance takes the audience along on the quest for understanding why love doesn't always work out. An eclectic combination of pop, Broadway, and original songs, The Trouble with Love displays Vicki's powerful vocals and her love of the stage. There is a $20 cover charge, 2-drink minimum. Vicki Levy's powerful vocal ability enables her to sing a wide range of contemporary and Broadway songs. In New York City, Vicki trains with accredited pianist/ songwriter, Rob LaRocco. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, Vicki made the move to New York to pursue her career. Her credits include winning the Texas Music Teacher's Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and Music Teachers' National Association singing competitions. In 2001, Vicki recorded for the children's music album Oo-pples and Boo-noo-noos CD, Second Edition.

Ms. Levy played the role of narrator in a regional production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other stage credits include Martha in Scrooge , a rendition of A Christmas Carol at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre in Dallas, a leading cast member and vocalist in Come Into the Light at the Dallas Children's Theater, and a principle role in an original program for the Jewish Federation, Dallas. Vicki continuously participated in show choirs and pop groups such as the University of Texas Longhorn Singers.

Vicki's New York debut show, MEN ran at DON'T TELL MAMA in April, May, July, and August of 2003. Other New York City credits include singing at JOE'S PUB with vocalist Brad Linard in November 2003, and performing the National Anthem at local sporting events.

In March of 2004, she recorded the demo for the Broadway hopeful Vaya Con Dios, Las Vegas, with musical direction and engineering by Daniel A. Weiss. Mr. Weiss' credits include his many years of work on the Broadway shows Rent and Taboo. Vicki is honored to have been accepted into The Cabaret Conference at Yale University's class of 2004. She looks forward to working with and learning from such world-renowned performers and industry legends as Tovah Feldshuh, Julie Wilson, Sally Mayes, and Michael A. Kerker.
