"LADIES
OF BROADWAY" PREMIERS AT LIBBY'S

A
new revue, "Ladies of Broadway" opens at LIBBY'S CABARET (3401 Northside
Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA - 404-869-4748 - http://www.libbyscabaret.com/
) on Thursday, August 5th and running through Sunday, October 3rd.
The show promises "sixty years worth of the very best show tunes sung
by four of your favorite gals." The gals are Kristin Markiton, Shawn
Megorden, Lisa Paige and Libby Whittemore, with musical direction
and arrangements by Robert Strickland. Shows are Thursdays through
Sundays. Tickets range from $25 to $35, depending on day of week,
and showtimes vary as well. Check the website for details.
The majority
of the songs will be "classic" Broadway tunes from equally cherished
shows: Mame; Hello Dolly!; Sweet Charity; Chicago; Bye, Bye Birdie;
Call Me Madam; Gypsy. And we can't forget the musical geniuses behind
these treasures, like Stephen Sondhiem, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers
and Hammerstein and many more.
