A COUPLE OF SWELLS AT DANNY'S AND MAMA'S

Australian artists Patrick Lim and Anthony Hunt return to New York with their new cabaret act "A Couple of Swells" which will play at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (346 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/ ) on Wednesday, October 6th & 13th at 9:15 pm. There is a $10 cover, $10 food/drink minimum. The lads will also perform the show at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/ ) on Sunday, October 10th at 3:00 pm and Friday, October 15th at 9:30 pm, with a $10 cover, 2-drink minimum. Patrick and Anthony deliver the old razzle-dazzle with youthful charm and finesse. The performance includes song by Fred Astaire, Stephen Sondheim, their own parodies and arrangements, and contemporary cabaret songs from their New York travels!

Patrick is the Winner of the Inaugural Adelaide Cabaret Festival Scholarship and has enjoyed sell-out shows in the 2001, 2002 and 2003 at the Festival. Patrick and Anthony also enjoyed a sell out Melbourne debut at CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL (12 Little Chapel Street, Prahran, Melbourne, AUS) in 2003 and were invited to return for a season of two cabaret programs in 2004.

As resident young artists with the State Opera of South Australia, one of Australia's four flagship opera companies, Patrick and Anthony have also enjoyed no less than five sell-out seasons of their effervescent cabaret show at the State Opera Studio.

Appearances include the Premier's Dinner, the Lord Mayor's Cocktail Parties, the Sydney Cabaret Convention and on Channel 7 television's AM Adelaide, ABC television's Stateline and ABC Radio. Patrick's cabaret performances have been seen in the Festival Theatre, the Playhouse, the Space Theatre, the Banquet Room, Lyrics Lounge, the Piano Bar and Catacombs of the Adelaide Festival Centre, as well as the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Town Hall, the State Opera Studio, the Hilton, the Stamford Grand and Chesser Cellars, amongst other venues.

Patrick and Anthony are both first class honours graduates from Elder Conservatorium, University of Adelaide. Anthony is currently studying for his PhD and is musically directing a number of operatic and theatrical works in addition to A Couple of Swells.

Patrick has a range of musical theatre credits as an actor and choreographer. Roles performed include the title role in Bernstein's Candide, Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me Kate, the Man in Marry Me A Little, Tulsa in Gypsy, Scranton Slim in Guys & Dolls, Lieutenant Shaw in The Secret Garden, one of the men in Closer Than Ever and minor roles / covers / dance captain in various musicals including Sweet Charity, Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods, The Mikado, Die Fledermaus, The Wizard of Oz and the original Australian cast of the Tony Award-winning The King & I. He most recently played the title role in the Adelaide Premiere of Sunday in the Park with George with the State Opera of South Australia.
