FROM KURT WEILL TO RADIOHEAD WITH ELIZA LUMLEY

Just returned to London from her Broadway run in Tom Stoppard's National Theatre production of JUMPERS, portraying the silent secretary alongside Simon Russell Beale's 'George.' Eliza Lumley will perform her solo show "She Talks in Maths" at PIZZA ON THE PARK (11 Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner, London - 020-7235-5273 - http://www.pizzaonthepark.co.uk/ ) for one night only on Monday, September 6th at 9:00 pm. Performing with the Bruce O'Neil Trio, Eliza Lumley explores love and loss through song. Audiences can expect to hear repertoire from Kurt Weill, Rodgers and Hart, and Ruth Wallis to Coldplay and Radiohead. Call the club for cover & minimum charges.

Jumpers marked Lumley's debut performance on Broadway. Not content with just one Broadway opening, Lumley also made her New York Cabaret Debut at JJOE'S PUB (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - Tele-Charge: 1-212-239-6200 - Box Office: 212-539-8778 - http://www.joespub.com/ ). Keeping extremely good company, Lumley's performances of 'She Talks In Maths', shared billing with Jamie Cullum and Suzanne Vega.

As a singer Lumley has always found disparity between the music she was listening to and the music she was asked to perform. The challenge was to find a contemporary opus that stood up to the old jazz standards, particularly as she wanted to avoid the obvious piano ballads.

Eliza Lumley trained at the Royal Academy of Music and has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at the Royal National Theatre. Eliza created the role of Ali for the West End production of Mamma Mia!
