MacDonald Returns to The Duplex
Award
winning cabaret performer Jeanne MacDonald returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET
THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/)
with the show that garnered her both critical acclaim and enthusiastic
audience response in October. Ms. MacDonald will perform on Saturdays
at 9:00 pm, February 28th, March 6th, 13th & 20th. Working with multiple
MAC Award winning musical director/arranger Rick Jensen, Jeanne presents
a show which features the music of such songwriters as Irving Berlin,
Rodgers & Hart, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Hal David & Burt Bacharach,
Michael Smith, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen and Rick Jensen. (Johnny
Rodgers fills in as accompanist for the March 20th show). There is
a $15 music charge ($10 for MAC & CABARET
HOTLINE ONLINE members) and a 2-drink minimum.
When this
show debuted at the renowned Nancy LaMott Room at the Bradstan Country
Hotel in White Lake, NY, Jeanne received standing ovations from the
sold-out audiences.
Recipient
of the 2004 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist, Jeanne
MacDonald is a celebrated performer of both standards and contemporary
music. Noted for its clarity, her smooth, warm voice has been compared
to the vocal qualities of Judy Collins, Barbara Cook and Nancy LaMott.
MacDonald has earned a Back Stage Bistro Award, the prestigious MAC
Hanson Award (Manhattan Assoc. of Cabarets & Clubs) and numerous MAC
Female Vocalist nominations. Her debut CD "Company," produced and
arranged by Rick Jensen, was nominated for MAC Recording of the Year.

Originally
from Freeport (Long Island) NY, Jeanne MacDonald began her cabaret
career at THE BRADSTAN (Route 17B, White Lake, NY - 845-583-4114 -
http://bradstancountryhotel.com/)
where she continues to perform each summer in their well known "Inn
Cabaret Series" in The Nancy LaMott Room. In addition to performing
regularly both in and out of NYC, Jeanne passes her joy of music on
to 8 -12 year old children in Orange County, NY.
