Sue Matsuki Presents More Jammin', Less Toasts

Multi-award winning Sue Matsuki presents her show "More Jammin', Less Toasts" on Thursday, April 22nd at 9:00 pm as part of the Cabaret Soiree series at LE DOME at The Manor (111 Prospect Avenue, West Orange, NJ - 973-731-2360 - http://themanorrestaurant.com/ ). Her Musical Director and collaborator on the CD, Gregory Toroian, will accompany her on piano and their good friend John Loehrke will be on bass. And Ms. Matsuki hinted that there might be a surprise guest (the amazing Bistro Award winner, Marcus Simeone) joining her. The Cabaret Soiree consists of a 4-course, 4-star dinner and show package, with dinner seatings at 6:00, 6:15, and 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 9:00 p.m. Cost for dinner and show is $69 plus tax & tip. Wait-list "show only" seats available at $35 per person.

A MAC Award winner for Best Female Jazz Vocalist, Sue Matsuki considers herself to be more of a standard singer/jazz stylist. This show is a brand-new version of the year-long run of her previous show, "Jam N' Toasts." The Jammin' is the jazz, and the Toasts are either hilariously funny (Sue is also a Stand-Up Comic) or movingly poignant. The show further toasts and pays tribute to the gals who have inspired Ms. Matsuki to sing, which means she'll perform music recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Peggy Lee, Carmen MacRae, Rosemary Clooney, Dakota Staton, and more!

Ms. Matsuki's debut jazz CD, "A New Take," was nominated for the 2002 MAC Award for Best Female Recording and is receiving air play across the country and internationally. And, as her personal thanks for those attending the dinner/show package at The Manor, Ms. Mitsuki will be giving a FREE CD!

Sue has played the legendary Iridium and Village Gate, as well as all the other New York cabaret venues and Caroline's Comedy Club; Odette's in New Hope, PA; The Gardenia Room in Los Angeles; the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival in Alaska; and the Four Seasons in Las Vegas; She was featured in the Foxwood's Casino Room at the Best of Connecticut Festival at the Oakdale Theatre.

Ms. Matsuki is also a Super and "Diva Double" at the Metropolitan Opera, where she has been featured in Norma and Il Trovatore and twice in Moses und Aaron as well as in Tristan und Isolde.
