SHARON McNIGHT'S "LADIES, COMPOSE YOURSELVES!" AT THE DUPLEX

Tony Award nominated singer Sharon McNight brings her show "Ladies, Compose Yourselves!" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/ ) on Saturdays, April 17th, 24th and May 1st, at 9:00 pm and Mondays, April 19th & 26th at 7:00 pm. Ladies, Compose Yourselves! is a tribute to female songwriters and includes songs by girls, ladies, women and a coupla' broads; and will include selections from her new CD "Offensive, Too!" by Marie Cain, Michele Brourman, Lindy Robbins and others. There will be a $20.00 music charge and a 2-drink minimum.

"Ladies, Compose Yourselves!" follows hot on the heels of Sharon's 2002-03 hit show "Songs To Offend Almost Everyone!" that played New York's Lucille Lortel Theater. Prior to this, Miss McNight received major critical acclaim for her 12-week SRO Off-Broadway Sophie Tucker smash hit "Red Hot Mama," at the York Theater Company.

Sharon made her Broadway debut in STARMITES in 1989, creating the role of Diva, garnering a Tony Award nomination and a Theater World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut. Regionally, Sharon has been seen in Amanda McBroom's Heartbeats (Pasadena Playhouse), Dolly in Hello, Dolly! (Peninsula Civic Light Opera) and Sister Hubert in the San Francisco and Los Angeles premieres of Nunsense. Her recordings include: The Sophie Tucker Songbook, The B&B Years, In The Meantime, Now and ..., and Songs To Offend Almost Everyone.
