SUSAN NEUFFER RETURNS WITH INSTANT KARMA

Susan Neuffer presents a return engagement of her cabaret show, "Instant Karma", directed by MAC award winner Lennie Watts, with musical direction by Gerry Dieffenbach. Ms. Neuffer will appear at MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/ ) on Sundays, October 17th & 31st, both shows at 4:00 pm. "Instant Karma" is a totally subjective musical journey through the late 60s and early 70s. There is a $12.00 cover, plus a 2-drink minimum. $8 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

Ms. Neuffer will perform songs by her favorite singer-songwriters (including Neil Young, Laura Nyro, Cris Williamson, and Nick Drake) and pop and rock (the Fifth Dimension, Todd Rundgren, Steely Dan) that provided the soundtrack for that tumultuous era. Susan will share the stage with Musical Director and Arranger Gerry Dieffenbach on piano and vocals, Jackie Fornatale on vocals and Mike Fornatale on guitar and/or bass.

Susan studied piano and classical voice and has sung with numerous choral groups. She also played bass and keyboards, and wrote for several rock bands in the 80s, performing at such clubs as the (in)famous C.B.G.B.'s and the Bitter End.

Susan has studied with legendary performance teacher Helen Baldassare, and has performed in several cabaret workshops with Ms. Baldassare, Teri Lynn Paul, and Mr. Watts as well as the "New Voices of 1998" revue and the Musical Theatre Workshop at Juilliard. Susan presented her debut cabaret show, "No Fool for Love Songs", in the fall of 2000, and followed up in 2001-2002 with her show "Mysterious Woman" and the "dreaded autobiographical show" in 2003 at Don't Tell Mama. She appeared in critically acclaimed productions of "The Melody Lingers On: The Songs of Irving Berlin" and Jerry Herman's "Mame" with the St. Bart's Players.
