THE
STOREFRONT is reprising MY QUEER YOUTH, part of The Storefront's FRIDAY
NIGHT STORIES series, in honor of Gay Pride Week at THE DUPLEX CABARET
THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/
) on Friday, June 25th at 9:00 pm. Included in the cast are Tom Andersen,
Lisa Asher, Brandon Cutrell, Scott Coulter, Bobby Belfry, Eric Pickering
and the author of the story, Phil Geoffrey Bond, with Rick Jensen
at the piano. There is an $8 cover charge ($5 for MAC members
and Cabaret Hotline
Members) and a 2-drink minimum.
MY QUEER
YOUTH is the humorous story of a young man growing up gay in the cornfields
of Indiana. From childhood memories of Osh-Kosh-Be-Gosh playclothes,
to getting up the nerve to ask a boy out on a first date. MY QUEER
YOUTH is the coming-of-age tale of a fay little boy carving out an
existence in the heartland of America. The featured music performed
live during the evening will include compositions by Michael Rupert
and Jerry Colker, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim and Lennie Watts.
