HEATHER STONE IN SPECIAL SKILLS AT THE DUPLEX

Singer Heather Stone will appear in her one-woman show "Special Skills" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/ ) on Wednesdays, October 20th & 27th at 7:00 pm and Saturdays, November 6th & 13th at 5:00 pm. Musical director is Barbara Anselmi. There will be a $15.00 music charge and a 2-drink minimum.

"Special Skills" is a labor of love from cabaret newcomer Heather Stone. The show was written and conceived with Martin Charnin, lyricist and director of Annie, and features several of his songs. "Special Skills" is the story of how a little girl comes from a town of 100 people in Oklahoma, to NYC to become a star. There are a few bumps along the way, as Heather chronicles, but the end result is laughter at her mishaps and tears as she discovers there really is no place like home. Though she's still holding-off clicking her heels together three times and leaving!

Heather opened her one-woman show Special Skills, earlier this year, under the title of "The Sooner, The Better." Heather can be seen regularly on television's One Life To Live. Heather's recent theater credits include: an Urchin in "The Roar of the Greasepaint ..." with George S. Irving for Musicals Tonight; regionally as Margy Frake in State Fair, as Ado Annie in Oklahoma at Discoveryland (the national home of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma), and in A Country Christmas at Opryland.

Daytime sees Heather teaching celebrity children at Broadway Babies (Hugh Jackman, Billy Baldwin, Rob Morrow, etc.) Prior to this Heather has been seen in productions ranging from Cinderella, Calamity Jane, The Wizard of Oz, Hello, Dolly! and West Side Story to Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, How To Succeed In Business..., and Thanks for the Memories.
