A Short Visit Only draws from several areas of Noel Coward's life: it features his songs and verse as well as drawing from his diary and biographical writings. The title and theme of the show is taken from a verse of the same name in "Not Yet the Dodo," Coward's collection of verse published in 1968, five years before his death.

The songs in the show include well known Coward standards such as "Mrs. Worthington" "Mad Dogs and Englishmen," "I Went To A Marvelous Party," and "I'll Follow My Secret Heart," as well as lesser performed numbers: Coward's version of Cole Porter's "Let's Do It," "Matelot," "That Is The End Of The News," and "I Travel Alone."

Geoff Stoner is an actor and singer who has performed in New York Cabarets such as Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, Rose's Turn, and Danny's Skylight Room. He received critical acclaim when he originated the role of Tom in Robert Chesley's Off-Broadway production of "Nightsweat." He was also seen in the St. Peter's Church production of Booth Tarkington's "The Trysting Place."
