) in September in two sold-out performances, offers a dramatic and
captivating evening of song. Drawing on his extensive musical theater
and popular repertoire, Mr. Clough, along with musical director Jeff
Dershin, conjures up a host of fiendish, diabolic and comedic characters
from such renowned composers as Jacques Brel, Stephen Sondheim and
Kurt Weill.
Mr. Clough, a long-time protege of the great actress/teacher Uta
Hagen, has appeared in numerous dramatic and musical productions
in some of America's most prestigious theaters (including The Public
Theater in New York, Actors Theatre of Louisville and Dallas Theatre
Center). He has performed such diverse characters as Macbeth, Falstaff,
Count Dracula, Fagin, Jud Fry and the title role in the Nerd. Reviewers
have noted that his strong musicality, emotional depth and physical
dexterity fuse in such a way as to create a very unique and dramatic
cabaret style.
There is a $15 cover, $12 food/drink minimum.
