FREE CABARET SHOW AT THE NEW YORK MARRIOTT MARQUIS!
The Broadway Lounge, located on the eighth floor of THE NY MARRIOTT
MARQUIS (1535 Broadway, NYC - 212-704-8900 - http://www.nymarriottmarquis.com/
), is a contemporary cocktail lounge overlooking Times Square. The
lounge features live music, creative signature drinks, wines by
the glass and nouveau tapas prepared in the open exhibition kitchen.
The room with its "clubby" atmosphere is becoming one of Times Square's
most happening after work - and beyond - destinations for the "new"
business people and leisure travelers.
On Wednesday, November 16th, The Broadway Lounge is very proud to
present the vocal trio, Boulevard East! There is no cover and no
minimum. Show starts at 9:30 PM and will last an hour.
The show, titled, "The Best ... Encores & More" highlights favorites
of the three performers (Christopher Howatt, Beth Covell and Dana
Merritt) chosen from their varied repertoire of classic standards
from the 30s and 40s mixed with contemporary songs from theater
and cabaret. You'll also hear a few selections from the trio's CD,
"Timeless." Currently the trio's repertoire encompasses greats from
Hoagy Carmichael, Kander & Ebb, William Finn, Maltby & Shire, Jason
Robert Brown and others.
