CALENDAR GIRL COVERS A FULL YEAR IN SONG IN ROCHESTER
In her newest one-woman show, CALENDAR GIRL, Mary Jayne Raleigh takes
a look at how the calendar year determines when and how we celebrate,
remember, and live 365 days a year. From January through December she
sings about everything from Punxsutawney Phil to the first days of school
in September. Included in the show are songs by award winning composers
like Craig Carnelia, Elton John, William Finn and Michel LeGrand.
"Calendar Girl" will be showing at DOWNSTAIRS CABARET THEATRE (20 Windsor
Street, Rochester, NY - 585-325-4370 - http://www.downstairscabaret.com/
) on Tuesday, December 20th at 7:30 pm and Monday, January 2nd at 7:30
pm.
Mary Jayne's numerous credits include Les Miserables' Broadway and Third
National Tour, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Man Who Would
Be King, in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, BreakThrough, A Musical
Epiphany at The York Theatre, The Stephen Randoy Songbook at the Donnell
Library. She was part of the history making Sondheim Celebration at
The Kennedy Center, appearing in Sunday in The Park With George and
Merrily We Roll Along. She performed her one-woman show What I Know
on The Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre in
Arlington, Virginia, and at The Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in Rochester,
New York.
Reservations strongly suggested. Tickets are $21.00.
