FOR STANLEY WILSON TIMING IS EVERYTHING
Stanley Wilson brings his show "Timing Is Everything: The Love Songs
of Cole Porter" to CAMBRIDGE CENTER FOR ADULT EDUCATION (56 Brattle

) on Saturday October 27th at 8:00 pm. The show is based upon hid recently
released CD "Stanley Wilson Sings Cole Porter" John O'Neil, who directs
the show, encouraged him to include some fun details from hid own life.
But the show is really about Cole Porter's wonderful songs and all that
he contributed to the American Songbook.
Stanley first encountered the witty and whimsical gems
of Cole Porter during the early 90s when he and a group of friends
were asked to present a revue at a dinner theatre in Pittsburgh, PA.
Wilsons's show "Timing Is Everything" also includes the standards
I Get a Kick Out of You, I've Got You Under My Skin and Night and
Day. Throughout the evening Wilson explores the passionate, playful
and sometimes outlandish lyrics of Cole Porter while sharing a few
anecdotes from his own romantic history.
Wilson has a Master of Music degree from the Longy School
of Music. He has performed as the MC in Cabaret, Sasha in Fiddler
on the Roof and Eddie Ryan in Funny Girl, and recently released a
CD, "Stanley Wilson Sings Cole Porter" with pianist/arranger Ben Cook
of the Boston Pops. Some of his opera credits include Gastone in La
Traviata, Laurie in Mark Adamo's Little Women, Don Curzio in The Marriage
of Figaro and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas.
