CHICAGO CABARET PROFESSIONALS SALUTE MUSICAL THEATER
CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals - http://www.chicagocabaret.org/ ), in association with DCA Theaters, will present two musical theater tributes this June at THE STOREFRONT THEATER (66 East Randolph Street, Chicago, IL - 312-742-8497 - http://www.dcatheater.org/ ). The songs of Jerry Herman, composer and lyricist of some of Broadway's most memorable shows, will be celebrated in the musical revue, I Am What I Am from Thursday through Sunday, June 8th through 10th, and the Tony Award-winning collaboration of composer, John Kander, and lyricist, Fred Ebb, will be saluted in City Lights from Thursday through Sunday, June 15th through 17th. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm.

In "I Am What I Am," Musical Director Bob Moreen, along with Laura Freeman, Carol Holmes, Bradford Newquist, Daryl Nitz, Suzanne Petri, Kat' Taylor and Bradford Thacker will take the stage performing some of Herman's legendary songs from La Cage Aux Folles, Mame, Hello Dolly, Mack and Mabel and Dear World. "I Am What I Am" was originally conceived by Bob Moreen and Kari Howard.

In "City Lights," Musical Director Beckie Menzie, along with KT McCammond, Tom Michael, Daryl Nitz, Suzanne Petri, Kat' Taylor, Bradford Thacker, Denise Tomasello and Robert Whorton will celebrate the music of the legendary Broadway team, Kander and Ebb with songs from Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Chicago, The Rink and more.

CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals - http://www.chicagocabaret.org/ ) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of performers, producers, writers, directors, venues, composers, lyricists, founded in 1998 and dedicated to the Art of Cabaret. Its mission is to help its members learn and grow as artists and promote the art of cabaret to its members, audiences and community.

The Storefront Theater and the Studio Theater, its companion theater located in the Chicago Cultural Center at 77 East Randolph Street, comprise the DCA Theaters, an anchor of the downtown theater district. The DCA Theaters offer downtown audiences the best opportunity for one to experience Chicago's vibrant off-Loop theater scene with an innovative and exciting look at the many diverse theater companies that call Chicago home.
