DARYL NITZ & GEORGE HOWE CELEBRATES 500th SHOW SEPTEMBER 22nd
Now in their 8th smash year, Daryl Nitz and George Howe, creators of the "Nitz and Howe Experience," Chicago's longest running cabaret show, celebrate their 500th performance on Saturday, September 22nd at 10:00 pm, at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830 - http://www.davenportspianobar.com/ ) at 10:00 pm. The show has opened each performance with "Get the Party Started" and "This Joint is Jumpin'" every Friday and Saturday night from 10:00 pm until 1:30 am.

As seen on WGN-TV and NBC-5, and featured in TimeOut Chicago, this spontaneous and entertaining "experience" is part request piano bar , part audience participation, and part uproarious comedy. Nitz and Howe offer a "happening" running the gamut from pop songs by Styx, Janis Joplin, or The Eurythmics, to show tunes from Broadway ( Try and stump them!), standards, jazz, and blues. Nitz performs hilarious vocal impressions of Neil Diamond, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Harry Connick, Jr., Carol Channing, Eartha Kitt, and more. His Billie Holliday sounds like the real deal. Great music and tons of laughter are the nightly fare.

Fans, young and old, keep coming back for more. On any given night audiences range from the post-theater crowd to bachelorette and birthday party revelers, to Wicker park natives or out-of-town tourists. Nitz and Howe joyfully serenade them all, with help from the rest of the crowd. Arrive early for a seat near the hilarity. Better yet, call in advance to reserve a table.

There is a $2 cover charge.
