BARBARA BRIGHTON MAKES PALM SPRINGS DEBUT
Irwin Rubinsky presents Friday Matinee Cabaret "The Best Of Broadway, The Best Of Swing" starring Barbara Brighton on Friday, February 9th at 2:00 pm at THE CATHEDRAL CITY SENIOR CENTER (68727 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA - 760-321-1548). In addition to her regular appearances on the TV Soap "General Hospital," Barbara Brighton has sung in musicals with Van Johnson, Chita Rivera, Gretchen Wyler and Molly Picon. She has played clubs in Japan, South America, Canada, Australia and Las Vegas.

Ms. Brighton grew up and was educated in Los Angeles, CA, where she received a master's degree in psychology. She has maintained a psychotherapy practice since 1977, specializing in Psycho-Oncology. In 1994, utilizing her music background, her love of jazz and encouragement of friends in the business, Brighton formed BJB Enterprises, providing publicity and production services for jazz artists. Since March 1996 she has produced the Young Artist Jazz Series at L.A.'s prestigious Catalina Bar & Grill. She continues to produce and promote numerous jazz artists and is an active member of the jazz community in Los Angeles.

Tickets are $5 for members and $7 for guests. There will be refreshments and a chance to meet Ms. Brighton after the show.
