STERLING'S UPSTAIRS WELCOMES EMILY ALLERTON AND SYLVIA BROOKS
STERLING'S UPSTAIRS (4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-769-0905 - http://www.vitellosrestaurant.com/ ), the all-new supper club at the legendary VITELLO'S RESTAURANT welcomes Emily Allerton on Saturday, March 10th and Sylvia Brooks on Saturday, March 17th, as its mid-March headliners. Both are musical theatre and nightclub artists making their much anticipated debuts at Sterling's.

Emily Allerton will appear in her all new show An Evening with Emily Allerton Saturday, March 10th with Musical Direction by Louis Durra. The vivacious, young, blue eyed, blonde, is a celebrated singer who excels in musical theatre, pop, rock and jazz. She is also an actress with a diverse list of credits in both film and television. Originally from Oregon, she appeared in Oregon City Performing Arts productions as "Elaine Harper" in Arsenic and Old Lace, and "Helen Keller" in The Miracle Worker. She also appeared at numerous, notable Northwest theatre venues such as Keller Auditorium and the Chiles Center. Upon migrating to Los Angeles, Emily was accepted as a student by the distinguished American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Upon graduation, she received the Voice, Speech, and Dialects Award. To date Academy alumni have received nominations for 72 Oscars, 205 Emmys and 58 Tonys. With one campus in New York and another in Los Angeles, the Academy is the only degree-granting conservatory for actors located in America's two dynamic centers for the acting profession. Emily starred in various productions at the Academy including Once in a Lifetime, Uncommon Women & Others, Into the Woods and Living Out Who Lives Within in which she not only starred, but also wrote.

Sylvia Brooks will appear Saturday, March 17th in her new show Fashionably Late and Other Questions About Life with Musical Direction by Tom Garvin. Many legendary jazz performers came into Sylvia Brooks' life at a very young age. Her father, a renowned jazz pianist, played with such icons as Ira Sullivan, Buddy Rich, Peggy Lee, and Dizzie Gillespie, to name a few. So it is only natural the Sylvia went on to become an established performer, having sung at many of the top clubs in Los Angeles, Miami and New York. She has starred numerous times as "Dorothy Brock" in 42nd Street, and "Reno Sweeny" in Anything Goes throughout United States and Southern California. Other regional theater credits include "Ann Field" in Hotel Universe; "Irma" in The Madwoman of Chaillot with the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco; and "Aldonza" in The Man of La Mancha; No stranger to television audiences, Sylvia has guest starred on General Hospital, Baywatch, Dallas, Designing Women, and the new pilot Mama & Son.

Both Ms. Allerton and Ms. Brooks join a stellar roster of Sterling's headliners which, to date, have included Broadway stars Kathy Buckley, Amick Byram, Kevin Earley, Ilene Graff (also co-star of ABC's hit series Mr. Belvedere), and Eydie Alyson; prominent U.S. musical theatre and theatre stars Joan Ryan, Paul Stroili, Russ Lorenson, Nita Whitaker, Amanda Abel, Julie Dixon Jackson, Erika Amato, Robert Townsend, and Maura Knowles; popular television star Stepfanie Kramer (co-star of NBC's longtime hit series Hunter); plus concert artists Toni Morrell and Nelson Kole to name but a few.

Seating for performances is once nightly between 6:30 and 7:00 pm and includes an upscale, four-course, prix-fixe menu which offers three entree choices, followed by a one hour show at the value package price of $50 per person.
