STERLING'S ANNOUNCES ITS OCTOBER HEADLINERS
STERLING'S UPSTAIRS (4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-769-0905
- http://www.vitellosrestaurant.com/
) is pleased to announce its October roster of headliners including
Tiba (Sunday, October 7th), Tam (Bernier) Evans (Sunday, October 14th),
Sandy Zacky & Mike Clifford (Saturday, October 20th) and Tricia Kelly

On Sunday, October 7th the club presents Tiba! As distinct
and unusual as her name, Tiba is the unique product of the merging
of generations. A New Orleans native, she was raised by parents who
collected and restored jukeboxes, so Tiba grew up exclusively to the
sounds of such legendary performers as Glenn Miller, Dean Martin,
Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley and the Platters. A distinctive song stylist,
Tiba is what we like to call a "female crooner." She pays tribute
to her unique upbringing and to the era that helped shape her identity
in her show Jukebox Baby. Known as a "female crooner," Tiba has appeared
throughout the southland as Special Guest Star with George Bugatti's
Three Crooners. Her current hit CD Jukebox Baby is available on the
Fynsworth Alley Label.
On Sunday, October 14th, Tam (Bernier) Evans takes the
stage. Tam starred as "Tanya" in over 1500 performances of the Broadway,
Toronto and Las Vegas productions of the mega-hit musical Mamma Mia
based on the music of the hit recording group Abba. Originally from
Canada, Ms. Evans has also starred in the Canadian Stage musical theatre
productions of Outrageous, and Pelagie, and spent over 4 years playing
lead roles at the world-renowned Stratford Festival of Canada. Productions
included The Two Gentlemen of Verona, As You LIke it, The Cherry Orchard,
Taming of the Shrew and others. As a voice over artist, Ms. Evans
has recorded over 30 commercials, played recurring roles on five animated
series and is currently playing the role of "Mystique" in the new
animated series Wolverine and the X Men.
On Saturday, October 20th, Sterling's presents Sandy
Zacky and Mike Clifford. Sandy Zacky has been a noted performer for
over 40 years. Known as a master of song interpretation, Ms. Zacky
has appeared in concert at numerous Los Angeles venues including such
former clubs as Perino's, Vine Street Bar and Grill, teh St. James
Club, and the original Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Mike Clifford is a renowned recording artist and actor who has been
singing with Sandy Zacky for 20 years. Mr. Clifford skyrocketed to
fame by his first hit hit in the U.S. "Close to Cathy" on United Artists
Records. He also starred in the dual roles of Johnny Casino and Teen
Angel in the first national touring company of the Broadway hit musical
Grease on the road for two years with John Travolta and Barry Bostwick.
In 2007, Ms. Zacky and Mr. Clifford recorded the popular CD Love is
Everything on the Three Sun label. It is a collection of favorite
songs which showcase their unique talents.
On Saturday, October 27th Tricia Kelly is featured.
Though a child of the '70's whose first album WAS, in fact, a K-Tel
record featuring the Bay City Rollers and countless others all in
one marvelous package. A recent arrival to the Los Angeles area from
Boston, MA, Tricia has done two successful runs as Brenda Lee and
Petula Clark and Janis Joplin in Beehive at the El Portal Theatre
in North Hollywood this past year. Since the release of her independent
CD Keep on Movin', she has performed as an opening act for KC & The
Sunshine Band at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, performed the National
Anthem for the Boston Celtics and most recently in LA) was a lead
perfomer in 50 Years of Rock & Roll at the Orange County Pavilion
