THE "RITZ" RETURNS IN 20087! HOLIDAY PREVIEW DECEMBER 17th
After a one year hiatus, AT THE RITZ!, the popular Sunday afternoon
radio show hosted by Jeffrey C. Williams and Lynn DiMenna for over
five years, returns to regular weekly broadcasting on Sunday, January
7th, on Fairfield University's WVOF 88.5 FM. Their new broadcast time
will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm every Sunday except those preempted by
college sports. Williams and DiMenna are eager to return to the airwaves
with both contemporary and classic performers and performances in
genres of music they claim is heard less often and a bit harder to
find on broadcast radio. In addition, their two-hour Sunday afternoon
program will be simulcast at
http://www.wvof.org/
for Internet listeners both near and far.

Show will be broadcast on Sunday, December 17th, from 3:00 to 5:00

Originally called "The Ritz Ballroom Hour" when first
broadcast in 1997 on WICC-AM, the show was updated some years back
to include cabaret, jazz, Broadway and Hollywood music, along with
celebrity interviews. To provide more listening time, free from
commercial interruption, AT THE RITZ! moved from WICC to WVOF in
2000. Based on feedback from both younger and older loyal listeners,
the show's popularity proved that there is a market for quality,
sophisticated music along with knowledgeable commentary and celebrity
chat.
Listeners to AT THE RITZ! may phone the studio during
broadcast hours with comments, questions or to answer occasional
trivia questions for CD prizes. Previous guests have been stars
of Broadway, motion pictures, cabaret and jazz including Barbara
Cook, John Pizzarelli, Ann Hampton and Liz Callaway, Michael Feinstein,
Julie Wilson, Margaret Whiting, Gene Wilder, the late Bobby Short
and Artie Shaw and dozens of others.
