MAUREEN HAMILL PERFORMS AT TAVERN ON THE GREEN
Maureen Hamill performs her show "Live From The Chestnut Room" on
Thursday April 12th at 8:00 pm at THE CHESTNUT ROOM at TAVERN ON THE
GREEN (Central Park at West 67th Street, NYC - 212-873-3200 -

). Maureen is accompanied by Matthew Ward on piano, Joe Gaudett on
drums and Andrew Perusi on bass. Direction is by Scott Barnes and
Mark Graham. The show consists of music from Broadway composers such
as Sondheim, Lerner & Lowe, Bacharach, Jacques Brel to pop classics
with special arrangements that add a different twist to songs such
as Downtown, I Got a Name and a jazz version of Show Me from My Fair
Lady. Also the show features original songs by Barbara Schottenfeld
who wrote the off-Broadway show "I Can't Keep Running in Place"
Maureen Hamill is the owner and artistic director
of Hamill Productions which stages musical productions for companies
and events throughout the country. Some of her clients include Pepsi-Cola,
Fuji Film, Dunn & Bradstreet, Boise Cascade and numerous equestrian
events from West Palm Beach to New York. Maureen has also been named
the new Artistic Program Director for Children at The Fairfield
Theatre Company in Fairfield CT. Maureen recently re-opened the
Chestnut Room with sold out performances.
Matthew Ward is an accomplished composer, performer
and teacher. He wrote the score for "Casper the Musical" starring
Chita Rivera. He is also the composer for the award winning show
"After the Fair." He has played in the orchestras of such Broadway
shows as Tommy, Blood Brothers, Avenue Q, and Tarzan. Matthew's
piano playing and arranging can be heard on the Forbidden Broadway
CDs Strike back and Clean Up your Act.
