LAINIE COOKE MAKES RETURN APPEARANCE AT THE CORNELIA STREET
CAFE
Jazz singer and Harlemwood Recording Artist Lainie Cooke returns to
CORNELIA STREET CAFE (29 Cornelia Street, NYC - 212-989-9319 -

) on April 22nd at 9:00 pm with the talented trio of Tedd Firth on
piano, Matt Clohesy on bass and Reggie Quinerly on drums. The petite
vocalist will be making her first appearance in over a year at the
Cafe.
Cooke was recently seen and heard at Joe's Pub and
the Museum of the City of New York in the New Heritage Theatre production
of "White Black & Blues. Sunday evening at the Cafe she'll be bringing
her unique styling to a "feel good" selection of songs, old and
new, blues and ballads.
Lainie Cooke has been entertaining audiences in New
York and Los Angeles for over twenty years. Moving to New York City
from Minneapolis, MN, where she began her career on radio at age
6, she left her studies at the University for classes in theatre
in New York. Using everything she knew, Lainie created multiple
careers singing in clubs and working in the studio as one of the
better known voiceover actors in New York. She has voiced campaigns
for radio and television for products as varied as McDonalds, Depend,
Jean Nate, Gillette, Massengill, Nutri System, "The Daily News",
and Boars Head to name but a very few, as well as documentaries,
film narrations, and promos.
In 2002, she released her first CD titled, "Here's
to Life" (Harlemwood HW0101). The CD, recorded in both New York
and LA featured Tedd Firth, Cameron Brown, Matt Wilson, Joey Morant
and David Lahm (New York) as well as Dick Shreve, Bob Maize and
Paul Kreibich, (Los Angeles).
