CABARET NEWS - NEW YORK CITY

JEANNE MACDONALD AT HELEN'S WITH "TIME BETWEEN TRAINS"
Award-winning performer Jeanne MacDonald brings her most recent show "Time Between Trains" back to HELEN'S RESTAURANT, CABARET & PIANO LOUNGE (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-206-0609 - http://www.helensnyc.com/ ) for five Saturday performances in March and April. MacDonald is scheduled to appear on Saturdays, March 24th & 31st and April 14th, 21st & 28th, all shows at 9:30 pm. (No show on April 7th.) Working with talented musical director/arranger Rick Jensen, MacDonald brings a show that creates a seamless blend between traditional standards from songwriters like Johnny Mercer, Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne, and the music of contemporary songwriters, such as Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman, Dar Williams and Susan Werner.

Jeanne MacDonald has earned a reputation as one of NY's finest cabaret singers and an honest interpreter of the lyric. She has received a variety awards for her work, including the New York Nightlife Award, the Julie Wilson Award and the MAC Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist. A BACK STAGE Bistro and a MAC Hanson Award recipient, MacDonald was also nominated for the MAC Recording of the Year for her debut CD "Company."

Jeanne first developed her artistry at The Bradstan Country Hotel in White Lake, where she recorded her latest CD, "Live at the Bradstan" in 2004. A graduate of the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, Jeanne is originally from Freeport, NY. In addition to her regular performances in and out of NYC, MacDonald also teaches music northwest of Manhattan, in Orange County, NY.

There will be a $20 music charge and a $15 food or beverage minimum.
