TERESE GENECCO RETURNS WITH NEW SHOW CELEBRATING ARTHUR SCHWARTZ
Following multiple, sold-out appearances in 2006, in both New York
City and San Francisco, Terese Genecco, award-winning vocalist, and
BUG:OUT:MUSIC recording artist, returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34

) in her brand new, solo musical creation, "Alone Together: An Intimate
Celebration of the Music of Arthur Schwartz," with Musical Director,
Barry Lloyd. Performances run Friday April 27th at 7:30 pm, Saturday
April 28th at 8:00 pm and Sunday April 29th at 7:00 pm.
2007 Bistro Award-winning vocalist, Terese Genecco,
known for her vibrant and energetic performances of "DRUNK WITH
LOVE: A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!" (with her 7-piece *little big
band,*) now brings forth a concert of intimacy and intensity, as
she celebrates the music of one of Tin Pan Alley's most beloved
songwriters, Arthur Schwartz. Composer of such enduring standards
as "Dancing In The Dark," "You And The Night And The Music," "That's
Entertainment," "By Myself," and "Alone Together," Mr. Schwartz
collaborated with the best lyricists of his day, including Howard
Dietz, Lorenz Hart, Ira Gershwin, Dorothy Fields, Frank Loesser,
Johnny Mercer, and others, to create classics of the Broadway stage
and Hollywood film. Ms. Genecco will be accompanied by Barry Lloyd,
her San Francisco musical director.
Terese Genecco is a 2007 recipient of the Back Stage
Bistro Award. Genecco's debut show, "Drunk With Love: A Tribute
To Frances Faye!" was named to TIME OUT NEW YORK magazine's TOP
TEN BEST CABARET list of 2006, and received a 2006 MAC Award nomination
for Best Debut show. Genecco is also the 2003 San Francisco Cabaret
Competition "Entertainer of the Year," as well as the winner of
the debut category.

Genecco is a graduate of the Syracuse University Musical
Theater Department. An accomplished musician, Ms. Genecco has studied
voice, piano, percussion, guitar, arranging, and composition with
master instructors, from London to New York to San Francisco. Genecco
is also the president, owner, and creative force behind Mulligan
Productions, an entertainment company with artist booking, promotion,
and production divisions in the recording, film, and theater industries.
Genecco currently resides in Oakland, California.
The artist will release her debut CD on the BUG:OUT:MUSIC
label, a division of Mulligan Productions, in the spring of 2007.
It is a live CD, chronicling the 2006 performances of "Drunk With
Love: A Tribute To Frances Faye!" at The Metropolitan Room in NYC,
and Jazz At Pearl's in San Francisco. Genecco is accompanied on
the CD by her 7-piece *little big band.*
