ZBORNIK & PEACO RETURN WITH BISTRO AWARD WINNING MADCAP SHOW
Kristine Zbornik, along with musical director Bobby Peaco, return
to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440
-
http://www.metropolitanroom.com/
) for an extended run of their sold-out December shows. Performances
are scheduled for eight consecutive Mondays in April & May starting
on April 2nd. All shows are at 7:00 pm (except April 30th & May 2nd
at 9:30 pm).
Kristine, joined by musical director Bobby Peaco and
two blow up dolls dressed as effigies of her two dead fathers, brought
the first rendering of this show to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM for two
performances in December. The crowds leaped from their seats and
ran from the club shouting. Kristine and Bobby realized they had
stumbled on to something and decided to bring it back for 8 more
performances.
It's Jerry Herman meets Salavador Dali as Kristine
Zbornik takes the audience on a musical romp through the inner workings
of her brain. It's fun (like a haunted house), inspiring (like Jesus)
and uncomfortable (like a bra that cuts into your back fat). You'll
leave being glad you're still you. Or are you????
The show includes 2 or 3 of her well worn favorites
(Some People, I Gotta Be Me and one piece picked out of hat) as
well as seven new pieces. To say anymore would be giving away the
plot except that the show recently won the 2007 Bistro Award for
Best Musical Comedy.
There is a $20 cover charge and two drink minimum.
