OPENING DOORS THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS "JUST FOR FUN(DS)!"
Opening Doors Theatre Company presents JUST FOR FUN(DS)! - the first
major fundraising event for the company - on Monday through Wednesday,
June 4th through 6th at 7:00 pm at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61

). Proceeds from the show will go towards next season's productions.
The shows will be directed by Suzanne Adams and produced by Eric Martin.
The musical director is Rick Hip-Flores.
JUST FOR FUN(DS)! will feature wall-to-wall music
from theatre, cabaret and award-winning original songs. The shows
will feature ODTC members Suzanne Adams, Hector Coris, Holli Leggett
and Eric Martin as well as special guests each night. Also featured
will be Bryce Bermingham, Desireń Davar, Rick Delancy, Debra Thais
Evans, Blayne Levin, Sarah Lilley, Rob Ventre. Special guests scheduled
to appear include:
MONDAY, JUNE 4th - Gerard Salvador (Mamma Mia), Mandy
Bruno (Les Miserables, "Guiding Light")
TUESDAY, JUNE 5th - Kevin Reed (Brownstone, Ace),
acclaimed songwriter Georgia Stitt (new CD, This Ordinary Thursday)
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6th - Broadway star and acclaimed
Tony-nominated composer/songwriter Jeff Blumenkrantz, MAC & Bistro
Award-winning cabaret artist Julie Reyburn, and Michael Starr (42nd
Street, "All My Children")
Opening Doors Theatre Company is a New York City-based,
non-profit performing arts ensemble committed to developing an eclectic
mix of programming through the artistic collaboration of performers
as well as playwrights, composers, directors and designers, and
providing opportunities for new talent to be seen and heard. ODTC
was created and formed in 2006 by Suzanne Adams. Hector Coris and
Eric Martin are also founding members. Suzanne currently serves
as ODTC's Artistic Director and she co-created the acclaimed Closing
Notice(r) Series with Associate Artistic Director, Hector Coris.
Previous productions include the sold-out first-ever NYC revivals
of Bring Back Birdie (December 2006) and It's a Bird... It's a Plane...
It's Superman! (March 2007). A 50th anniversary production of the
1957 Charlap/Gimbel cult classic, Whoop-Up, is scheduled for July
10th through 12th, also at The Duplex.
Tickets are $15 + 2-drink minimum.
