LINDA CIOFALO AT MANNAHATTA LOUNGE

Jazz vocalist Linda Ciofalo will perform at the MANNAHATTA LOUNGE (316 Bowery, NYC - 212-253-8644 - http://www.mannahatta.us/ ) on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:00 on. She will be joined by John diMartino on piano and Marcus McLaurine on bass. Her repertoire is a fusion of Jazz, Blues & Original compositions.

Ms. Ciofalo, a versatile vocalist and songwriter, started singing professionally after being chosen from among 300 singers to fill the featured vocalist spot in a big band orchestra. In the year 1999 she made the decision to emerge as a band leader and produced a demo, "Take the High Road" that took on a life of its own and brought her to the attention of many NY Jazz fans in addition to receiving world wide airplay. She has performed at The Blue Note, Cleopatra's Needle, Iridium Jazz club, Old Westbury Gardens, and many colleges on Long Island and Manhattan, the Distinguished Artists series and music festivals.

Her concert productions have included grant awards from L.I. Arts Council, New York Foundation of The Arts and NYState Council of the Arts She has shared the stage with guitarist Les Paul and Jazz singer Mark Murphy, and she continues to perform with many of the most creative NY based musicians.
