THE LEGENDARY JULIE WILSON AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Cabaret icon Julie Wilson makes her THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - http://www.metropolitanroom.com/ ) debut in a new show with a two week run, Wednesdays through Saturdays, June 16th through 23rd, all shows at 8:00 pm. This new show includes songs Ms. Wilson by contemporary composers plus some be old favorites. She will be once again joined by her musical director Christopher Denny.

Of her nearly 70 years in show business, more than 50 have been spent singing in cabaret. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Ms. Wilson headed east as a young girl and danced in the chorus at the Copa and the Latin Quarter, where she started singing. She appeared in the second Broadway cast of Kiss Me, Kate and has also appeared in several Sondheim shows. She has made numerous recordings of the works of her beloved composers. Anyone who has heard her knows that, as one writer has said, she can take that you on an emotional journey within one song, from sorrow to reflection to detached amusement and back again.

There is a $20 Cover plus a 2 Beverage Minimum.
