HOT BLUES & SWING-JAZZ FRIDAYS WITH PHOEBE LEGERE

Currently the home of Les Leiber's JAZZ at NOON - now in their 43rd Year, the SAN MARTIN RESTAURANT (143 East 49th Street, NYC - 212-832-0888) will add Swing-Jazz for Happy Hour along with their famous Mediterranean Cuisine early every Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 pm beginning May 4th through June 2007. Phoebe Legere, vaudevillian vocalist, pianist will be joined by improvisational trumpeter Bob Leive, drummer Shelton Gary and clarinetist Dan Kassell.

Bob Leive is an entertainer that improvises with mutes and voice. Leader of the Wooster Street Trolley Band, & knows lots of tunes. Shelton Gary currently tours with The Harlem Blues And Jazz Band. Member of The Friendly Fifty Club. Dan Kassell evokes the Swing-Jazz era pre-1937 when improvising in Eddie Condon's Chicago Jazz style he occasionally finds some of Pee Wee Russell's notes or favors Louie Armstrong's tunes and chalemeau sounds of Algier's clarinetist's across the river from New Orleans.

Music charge is $8 with a $10 minimum.
