) for a 5 week Off-Broadway run opening on Sunday October 7th and
playing every Sunday and Thursday at 7:00 pm through November 11th.
The show features music ranging from Italian Pop Opera, Rock & Roll,
Folk, Broadway, Yiddish and original songs by Jeff Blumenkrantz, Brad
Alexander and many more.
This musical adventure explores how a nice Jewish
Girl from New York finds herself singing at the famous Italian Restaurant
Rao's, hosting the Ms. Italian-American pageant, dodging bullets,
becoming a member of the exclusive Friars Club, and torturing her
eighty-nine year old grandma because she's still not married. Rena's
story even bacame the basis for a LAW & ORDER script.
The show is directed & co-written by Dean Strober
and musical direction is by William Hindin. The show also features
Mark Wade on bass and Joe Brent on violin/mandolin.
Tickets are $25 plus there is a 2 Drink minimum.
