After receiving unanimous raves following a July run, Greg Purnhagen
will reprise his newest show, "BABALU-CY! - The Art of Desi Arnaz"

) for one more nights= only, Friday, December 7th at 10:00 pm. "BABALU-CY!"
takes a look at Arnaz's career, from his tremendous early success
as a bandleader to his relationship with America's Favorite Redhead.
The show also features highlights of the many numbers he performed
on "I Love Lucy." Of course, the conga will be played!
Backed by a by a smoking seven-piece Latin band under
the direction of his long time musical director David Cook, Greg
will shine a spotlight on the great Latin icon Desi Arnaz, who was
much more than just Ricky Ricardo. Greg's special guest "Lucy" will
be the talented writer and funny woman, comedy performer Beth Campbell.
The show is directed by Leonard Peters. The band personnel: Bass-
Yoshi Waki; Drums- Chad Hochberg; Percussion- Oba Allende; Trumpet-
Ravi Best; Saxophone- Kurt Stockdale; Trombone- Ryan Kebberle.
Greg Purnhagen performs regularly in New York and
around the world to critical acclaim. A singer who enjoys success
in many genres, he defines the word "crossover." He has appeared
in several well-received cabaret evenings at clubs in New York including
"Something in Your Smile" at The Hideaway Room at Helen's. He recently
appeared in the French revue "Rendezvous" at Feinstein's at The
Regency. He has worked with such avant-garde luminaries as Philip
Glass, Mary Zimmerman, Robert Wilson, Meredith Monk and John Kelly,
appeared Off-off Broadway and performed at benefits for the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation, Kentler International Drawing Space in Red
Hook, Habitat for Humanity, and nursing home outreach programs with
Vocal Ease.
During the 90s he was a member of the BMG a cappella
quartet Toby Twining Music. Among his many commercial recordings,
he is especially proud to have been a guest vocalist on Bjork's
recent CD, "Medulla."
