SALLY MARTIN RELEASES NEW CD AT CORCORAN GALLERY OF ART
Critically acclaimed chanteuse Sally Martin celebrates the release of her new CD, "Another Time, Another Place," with a concert and reception on Tuesday, September 25th at 7:00 pm, at CORCORAN GALLERY's Frances and Armand Hammer Auditorium (500 17th Street NW, Washington, DC - 202-639-1774 - http://www.corcoran.org/ ). Her two previous shows at the Corcoran drew sell-out crowds. Ms. Martin will be joined in concert by music director James R. Fitzpatrick on piano and Deborah Brudvig on cello.

Her new CD features an eclectic collection of songs in English and French by Jacques Brel, Maury Yeston, Paul Simon, Stephen Sondheim, James R, Fitzpatrick, and Joseph Thalken.

Ms. Martin is equally at home in cabaret, theater or the concert stage. She is well-known to area audiences for her powerful interpretations of a wide range of cabaret and musical theatre repertoire from the songs of Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich to the American Songbook. Area credits include the French Embassy, the Music Center at Strathmore, Alexandria's Lyceum, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Baltimore's Everyman Theatre, and the Signature Theatre Cabaret series. In New York, Ms. Martin has headlined at Don't Tell Mama and Danny's Skylight Room.

Tickets are $20 for members of the museum and $25 for general admission.
